bookmarklet should need less clicks
when I use the bookmarklet to create a thing,
1) I want it created right away, now only after I click 'close' (or was it save'?). The window should still stay open for further annotations but refrain from asking me if I really want to close etc.
2) same thing for adding to collections. After I select the collection(s) I want this new thing in, this should be saved, without further Ok's, 'save's oder 'close's.
Even better: suggest collections directly on the 'add thing' pane, then I can add a thing plus categorize it with 2 clicks: 1st for the… more3 votes -
Use collections of people as mailinglist
If its possible to manage and tag contacts in refinder (should sync with my Mac Addressbook anyway and for other users their Google contacts), I would love to be able to send eMails to sets of contacts defined by certain properties.
Example:
I somehow navigate to a semantic query like [all members of project x] or [all people tagged with 'friend'].
From there I would like to click a 'mailto' link that opens my native Mailer with the emailadresses (and nice-to-have also their names) of these people.
Like that, I would have dynamic personal 'mailing lists'.(Thinking about it, for… more

Heiko, Refinder will very soon have the option to select things that you see on screen (e.g., you filter people from a collection) and perform certain actions. We are thinking of a feature that allows you to send an email to all persons within a collection, or to a selection of these people. Stay tuned!

Search field has no focus on page load
clicked on my Refinder link, browser loaded the page, but the keyboard focus was not in the search field.

show feedback when a collection has been created vie add-to-collection
I wanted to create a new collection by adding a thing to it.
After I enterd the name of the collection to be created in the search box, it said 'nothing found, press enter to create one' (or so). I pressed enter several times an got no feedback, that this had any effect.
Instead, my only _other_ collection showed up several times in the 'recent collections' section to the right, which suggested to me that no new collection was created.
I hope, the new collection has not been created with N duplicates now...2 votes -

Explorer Connector optimization
While installing, the connector scans very long. Does it upload info for each single file? Bulk upload could be faster.

Provide a "jump to" form where i can enter a precise name of a thing and jump directly to the thing
In firefox, i use the keyword feature with refinder - i can type "find xy" and the refinder search results open.
I would like to have a way to directly go to a thing and skip the search results page.

bug at edit field of title of topic/detail
if I have a long title, the edit field of the title is partially hidden behind the buttons "Open, Edit, Delete". It should be smaller, when the buttons are visible.

I don't know how this exactly happened (maybe lag), but the Outlook add-in linked 2 Contacts with the same Thing(The Thing was created while selecting them one after another within a rather short time span)
