Problems with CSS on many screens
Overlapping items in my display.
Search
Should be able to drag panel so that panes can be bigger.
Typing
Change type of a thing.
Info displays
Only thing display allows very useful popup box that shows associations - needed in other views.
Other views need more complete menu of display options of associated entities.
- editing - Collection view
Selecting circa 50 things to perform this action:-
Add to another collection - OK
Remove from this Collection - KO
Generally fails with one of following observed:
Only some of the items are removed - they have to be reselected for deletion, could be many or a few.
Subsequently action completes.
Action completes but ff(11) crashes and has to be force quit.
Scripts
Generally resource hungry, prone to crashing or severe delay and many displays do not update usefully, for example items in display is not always accurate after a delete.

Connectors
General
A connector that is setup with e.g. twitter will bring in a lot of information over time.
Obviously it can be disabled but I think there should be more fine grained control over this.
Perhaps the names of associated topics or an hierarchy of topics should be available is filter tags plus with an open 'suggest related'?
This would be similar functionality to the suggest associate in the thing item view.
Google cloud
Why was I deleting from a collection?
I have setup the Google cloud connector.
It is not possible to selectively target a collection.
It is not possible to extract metadata selectively, e.g. on basis of date range or regex.
It is not explained behaviour of the crawl in second and subsequent crawls, for instance if an item is removed from a collection by manual re-categorisation will it be reinserted by subsequent crawl?
At any rate and for some reason I do not understand, I had several duplicates from the crawl. This could be because of the structure of Google Docs? I believe this should not happen what ever the cause?

General
I am still trying to learn Refinder, that is to use it with various sorts of data with which I have varying degrees of familiarity.
Are the filters quite intelligent enough, I'm not sure?
I am, admittedly, not sure what I want out of it (I'm playing around). One of the things I may want is a way to pull data out and publish so at some point I may look at the API.
Before that point I will come back with further observations if I think they may be useful to you, in terms of what I believe people may want to do with Refinder. These observations will not be in terms of team work, more information categorisation and search.

when I use the bookmarklet to create a thing,
1) I want it created right away, now only after I click 'close' (or was it save'?). The window should still stay open for further annotations but refrain from asking me if I really want to close etc.
2) same thing for adding to collections. After I select the collection(s) I want this new thing in, this should be saved, without further Ok's, 'save's oder 'close's.
Even better: suggest collections directly on the 'add thing' pane, then I can add a thing plus categorize it with 2 clicks: 1st for the bookmarklet, 2nd for the collection and bang - close my window and go on working (instead of figuring out what to click now that Ive told refinder everything that I wanted to say, just in order to make it stick ;)

If its possible to manage and tag contacts in refinder (should sync with my Mac Addressbook anyway and for other users their Google contacts), I would love to be able to send eMails to sets of contacts defined by certain properties.
Example:
I somehow navigate to a semantic query like [all members of project x] or [all people tagged with 'friend'].
From there I would like to click a 'mailto' link that opens my native Mailer with the emailadresses (and nice-to-have also their names) of these people.
Like that, I would have dynamic personal 'mailing lists'.

(Thinking about it, for those contacts that use refinder themselfs, their contact info should be updated from their profiles, so I always have their most recent eMail adress etc.)
((thinking even further, this kind of stuff should be pulled from facebook, linkedIin and Xing, where many of my contacts update their info by themselfs))
